Ban sales of dogs on classified sites Facebook, pets4homes, preloved, gumtree.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Ban the sale of dogs on classified sites such as pets homes, preloved, gumtree which are feeding the increase of dog theft by organised criminals, illegal breeding and baiting dogs.
Dogs should only be sold on by registered breeders or through rehoming centre charities.
Dogs are now high value kidnap targets with criminals now switching from drug dealing to dog theft due to the high values. Dogs can be easily stolen and moved on through these classified sites with no checks, paperwork, ID checks or policing by criminal gangs. This needs to stop as owners are being targeted and assaulted. Owners are now arming themselves to combat this and it is a matter of time before someone is killed.
