Keep the A&E at the William Harvey hospital in Ashford, Kent

What the petition asks
Keep the A&E department at the William Harvey hospital in Ashford and do not move it to Canterbury
the A&E in William Harvey is so close to the M20 and the port at Dover and ashford international railway station at Ashford and of course now the new huge Lorry Park if there was a international incident or some horrible accident involving the locomotives or trains going through the International Station. Speaking as an ex ambulance driver it would be a better idea to have a closer Hospital to these potential hotspots.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions about local hospital facilities are a matter for individual NHS hospitals and trusts, not the Government or House of Commons.
If you are concerned about changes to NHS facilities in your area you should contact your local NHS trust about this: https://www.ekhuft.nhs.uk/patients-and-visitors/
