Extend Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953 protections to all Wildlife

Closed 642 signatures

What the petition asks

Amendment: If a dog worries wildlife, the person in charge of the dog is guilty of an offence. The law to consider worrying of wildlife to include attacking, chasing in a way that may cause injury, distress, or being at large (not on a lead or otherwise under close control) near wildlife.
Every year swans & other wildlife are attacked by dogs. Despite warnings from the RSPCA & Police, habitual harrassment of wildlife by dogs is considered socially acceptable by many.
