Allow UK population to visit holiday homes in the UK

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Allow people to travel and stay in privately owned 2nd homes, holiday homes, caravans, lodges, challets within the UK
During Covid 19 we can socially distance and isolate at 2nd homes. We are paying massive fees for these 2nd homes/holiday homes and that money is being wasted as most are not entitled to refunds. It will help with mental health being able to have a change of scenery and most holiday homes are surrounded by better walks for excercise and healthier living. Allowing people to use their holiday homes will improve mental and physical health with no extra risks to being at our permanent residance.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Decisions on travel to and in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are a matter for their Governments.

You could start a petition calling for travel to holiday homes in England to be legal, if that's something you'd like to see happen.
