What the petition asks
To force Student Finance NI to raise the amount to tuition fee loan to cover the cost of a Masters Course in Northern Ireland, it currently only covers £5500 while masters courses are >£6000.
Masters Students aren't entitled to a maintenance loan either making it incredibly difficult to complete one as students coming straight from undergraduate won't have savings and therefore can't even afford the cost of the course itself,.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
