Dogs that kill or maim any another animal should have to wear a muzzle in public

Closed 39 signatures

What the petition asks

The number of poorly trained pet dogs in the UK seems to be spiralling out of control. If dogs have a history of violence, the owners should be required by law to muzzle their dogs in public. This is in order to protect the general public, the UK wildlife and other dogs.
On January the 24th 2021, I was walking with in public land near Bath when a dog, a brown mutt with no owner in sight, pulled down a deer. After scaring away the bloody faced dog, we took the deer to a vet where it was put down.

Any animal that is willing to do so much damage to another animal should be prevented from doing so in the future. Owners that fail to muzzle or control their dogs should be fined.
