What the petition asks
Call In Wigan Council to Review a dangerous piece of land on Wigan Road park Atherton that is at immediate risk of subsidence that could lead to major injury or fatality as it is a public park and well used. The slope is creeping back month on month and could collapse at any moment. This potentiall
after months of contact with the council they have been too slow to react, it’s an accident waiting to happen potentially caused by either geographic change or climate change. Children play there constantly and will not last much longer. This is an urgent request before spring for urgent work and solution to fix permanently before someone is hurt.
