Declare an extra bank holiday after removal of all legal social contact limits.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Following the publication of the roadmap out of lockdown today (February 22), and the fact that many family and friends will not have seen each other for over a year, we would like the Government to declare the Monday after the removal of all social contact limits as a bank holiday.
The additional bank holiday weekend would provide family and friends with the chance to meet up, but additionally provide the hospitality industry with a much needed boost with a bumper weekend to help them boost their industry and persuade people get out and support the industry.
