Establish a permanent UK climate citizens assembly

Closed 128 signatures

What the petition asks

There is a need for the Government and Parliament to have a PERMANENT climate citizens assembly to bring together citizens of the public to allow them to express their views and what they feel is acceptable for them and allowing them to be involved with decision making to achieve net zero by 2050.
This would make decision making much more efficient for the Government and Parliament and easier to be accepted by the public. The reason why I feel it would be much more efficient because there is a lack of public trust in the Government and Parliament .With our ever changing environment Assembly members are from all walks of life with no political agenda helping to lay down the foundations for decisions to be made, I feel it would have a better public acceptance and understanding .
