Make moving to the uk easier if you can prove you’re in a genuine relationship

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Change some of the rules and restrictions on starting a life with your partner in the UK, if you can prove the relationship is genuine and you’re going to try and get a job here rather than get money from the government. Not everyone has the funds straight up and I think we deserve a chance.
I think the government are the only people that can help with this. I think that we deserve a chance as much as the next person. I think that maybe give a restriction on 5 yrs no government funds to new comers, and a visa of 12 months to find a genuine job if you can prove that you are in a genuine relationship and your partner has a place for you to stay. There’s so many hoops and obstacles, it’s very difficult for us in genuine loving long distance relationships who just want to be together.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about the ease with certain people can move to the UK, but we're not sure exactly what immigration rules you want to be changed.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
