Change the law for fathers rights to see their children.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Stop mothers from using children as a weapon to hurt the fathers. Children need both parents in their lives, providing neither parents are abuive
I know to many fathers that have no access to see their children but have to pay excessive amounts of maintenance they can’t afford to live themselves.
There are to many fathers committing suicide because of these out dated laws. The government must realise these fathers must have as much rights as mothers on seeing their children.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand you are concerned about the rights of fathers to have contact with their children after a separation or divorce, however it's not clear how you would the law to be changed.

You might like to sign this petition which calls for a very similar action: Give children and parents automatic rights to equal contact after separation
