No fines for non-attendance at school during academic year 2020-2021

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

No punitive measures for parents choosing to NOT return their children to in-person education for the remainder of the academic term 2020-2021
Allow individual households to decide whether their children resume in-person education for the remainder of the academic term 2020-2021.
Some parents are reluctant to return their children to in-person education during a global pandemic, some because of the fact that some of their household members may have underlying conditions which put them at more risk of serous infection issues. Some because they are not satisfied with the lack of mitigations in schools for aerosol transmission.
Allow those parents to risk assess for their own households and if they chose to remain temporary remote learning allow them to do so.
