What the petition asks
We want the government to include blind and partially sighted people in the priority list.
Blind and partially sighted people face unique challenges which affect independence and everyday life.
People find it difficult/ impossible to judge how far they are from others which is essential for social distancing
They’re in need of support to navigate unfamiliar environments, they will be guided, holding their guiders elbow who will talk to the person and give information about immediate hazards
They are also more likely to use touch to navigate the world around them.
