What the petition asks
Properly reward the efforts of front line NHS workers who have shown extraordinary sacrifice, dedication and courage throughout the Covid pandemic.
Over the past twelve months Doctors, Nurses, Cleaners, Porters and other front line workers have endured fatigue to the point of exhaustion, stress in caring for the dying and ultimately given their lives to care for others. The government has expressed gratitude on numerous occasions and now insults those people with a 1% pay rise. It is a National disgrace that Parliament must put right.
