What the petition asks

Year 12s are the only current year that have missed out on the opportunity on having a prom of some sort. Hundreds of pounds spent on arrangements and outfits to just be thrown out the window! Majority not being able to get a refund or return anything which is simply not right.

Year 12s should be provided with a prom or gathering of some sort, to make up for the one we have lost. Year 12s are struggling as it is having missed GCSES and now with first years at college the least you can do is provide us with something we will remember for the rest of our lives!! It’s very unfair that we have been the only year to loose out on a prom and have no say in the matter.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The decision on whether or not to have a prom, and this will be held, is one for individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament.
