What the petition asks

During the past year when the country has faced its largest national crisis since the Second World War, our healthcare professionals have pulled the country through, often at great risk to themselves and their families. we Believe their sacrifice must be rewarded with a minimum 10% pay rise.

At the start of the crisis, nurses and other health care professionals were working without adequate equipment including PPE. They helped thousands of people, bearing the brunt of the crisis, working in intolerable situations providing kindness, commitment and compassion. We have to show the government that they are out of step with the national mood, and that despite these financial circumstances, we must reward our national heroes!

Why it was rejected
