Do not cut domestic Air Passenger Duty

What the petition asks
The Government has announced it wants to cut air passenger duty on domestic travel. This cut will ensure that the most polluting of all travel methods actually contributes more to the UK's carbon footprint. We are in a climate emergency. The cut should not be implemented.
The government's own study (reported at www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-49349566) shows domestic air travel as the worst contributor to climate change, per mile, of all modes of transport.
This year the UK hosts COP26, to focus all countries on the carbon reductions needed to avoid the worst effects of climate change.
We should show leadership & commitment to cutting our emissions, and not enact a policy which will increase pollution, reduce air quality, and expand our carbon footprint.
