Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The curriculum should be altered to teach children how to manage finances including paying tax and setting up direct debits, also provide classes of how to eat healthy on a budget, how to do basic DIY, teach more subjects are practical in daily life and to teach about abuse in relationships.
The new generations are developing learning skills however there is a sever lack of practical life skills which would equip young people to cope in todays society and to build a future on a more equal basis.
Younger generations do not know the basics of life which older generation benefited from including basic coping strategies to create a more independent life.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you'd like changes to the National Curriculum, but your suggestions include things that are already included as part of PHSE education.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
