What the petition asks
Make the Momentum and Reaktiv AFO available on the NHS for those born with congenital conditions, arthritis, osteoarthritis, broken bones, failed invasive surgery resulting in severe pain or limited mobility of foot/ankle
The cost of the ankle orthotic is beyond the reach of most people and although costing £4-5k recipients of the orthotic would see a reduction in pain and increase in mobility. The need for invasive surgery wouldn't be required to try and reduce pain.
The reduction in surgery would save costs to the NHS in the long run and also reduce patient waiting times
