Allow women to carry non-lethal self-defence, such as Pepper spray, or Taser.

What the petition asks
That the law be changed to permit women who so wish to carry approved and licensed non-lethal means of self-defence, such as Pepper / CS spray, or Taser.
Many women are targeted every day with unwelcome and sometimes violent approaches, in public and domestic places, but which often go unreported.
It will strike a chord with most women that they should be permitted by society to carry some legal and approved means, such as a Pepper Spray or Taser, to protect themselves in a proportionate response to a violent attack.
Many Countries allow women to protect themselves in this way – why does the UK Government refuse to do so?
