Provide more funding for physical rehabilitation services for cancer patients
Closed
184 signatures
What the petition asks
All cancer patients and survivors should have access to specialist, physical rehabilitation during and after their treatment, helping to reduce the associated negative health consequences of the treatment and giving patients the best chance of good long-term health outcomes.
Exercise can help improve the quality of life, life expectancy and recovery rate of cancer patients. It can help reduce the side effects of treatment that often lead to further investigations/medication which in turn put an extra burden on the NHS. Research proves that the impact of exercise is extremely positive, yet it is still not routinely prescribed to cancer patients.
