Legalise the possession of pepper spray for self-defence

What the petition asks
Legalise the possession of pepper spray for personal carry. Women are harassed, and attacked in the UK on a huge scale, often having to walk with keys between their fingers as a defense weapon. Pepper spray offers a non-lethal, distanced defense, and deterrent from attacks on lone women
Legalise the sale and possession of approved and regulated pepper sprays, with personal licencing if needs be. If licencing is needed it must come at no cost to the holder, as critical personal safety cannot hold a price
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
