Appose plans to develop the proposed offender centre in Porthcawl and Sunnyside.

What the petition asks
We want the Ministry of Defense and subsequent local governing bodies to reconsider the plans to house ex-offenders in both Porthcawl and Sunnyside.
Although there is a consideration for the complex needs of ex offenders there should also be consideration paid to the safeguarding issues that could arise for the local communities as well as the impact on the local economy. The proposed sites are well frequented venues, enjoyed by both local residents and tourists. We urge the Ministry of Justice to reconsider the appropriateness of the plans and location.
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Since you started your petition Bridgend County Borough Council has stated that a representative of the Ministry for Justice has confirmed they will not be submitting planning applications for a new Wales Residential Women’s Centre at Sunnyside House in Bridgend town centre or the Atlantic Hotel in Porthcawl.
