Recognise Pathological Demand Avoidance as a distinct profile for ASD

What the petition asks
Recognise the condition PDA as a distinct profile within the autism spectrum and legislation relating to EHCPs, DLA and MDA documentation
The strategies and support needs of individuals with PDA are distinctly and uniquely different to that of ASD, meaning that many of the approaches for ASD children are ineffective for children with PDA, this distinct status would support parents and professionals in providing effective and bespoke support for the condition
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a clinical decision.
