What the petition asks

We want the Government to improve the lives of people of all ages with communication and swallowing needs by ensuring that they are able to access the speech and language therapy they and their families and carers need.

A recent report by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists - Speech and language therapy during and beyond COVID-19: building back better with people who have communication and swallowing needs - found that COVID-19 has massively impacted people's ability to access the therapy they need, making their lives worse in a number of ways, including their mental health. We are calling on the Government to implement the report's recommendations.
