What the petition asks

Children travelling to Scotland even if exempt from requirement of Covid test e.g. under 11 years old, must still quarantine at a hotel.

Because current law violates the human rights of a child.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The Scottish Government is responsible for quarantine arrangements in Scotland. That means that the UK Government and Parliament can't look into it.

The Scottish Parliament has its own Public Petitions Committee.
