Have an independent financial body to investigate complaints against SFE.

What the petition asks
As Student Finance England is a Govt. ran company there is no one independent who you can complain to. There is no financial transparency with this company. Universities don't know if they're being over paid or not. Student's don't know if they've ran out of funding because because of this reason.
If finances aren't tightly monitored, if students and Universities don't understand what they're being paid and when, how can the states educational budget stay on track. When a students Uni. Is over paid they can't continue their education. They're just told they're "out of funding" even when the mistake has been rectified. Student applications to Uni are constantly being rebutted because the staff don't seem to have a grasp on the financial status of the student properly.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Complaints about SFE can be investigated by an Independent Assessor, you can find out more here:
https://media.slc.co.uk/sfe/nysf/sfe_appeals_leaflet_d.pdf
If you're not satisfied by this assessment, you may also be able to raise this with the Ombudsman:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
