What the petition asks
Numerous MPs hold other elected positions exercising state authority, public sector position or private sector position. All these positions result in an MP at the expense of their constituents spending less time on Parliamentary issues, whilst receiving a financial benefit. Constituents come first.
All MPs will be prevented from holding any private, public or electoral position whilst being an MP. Such as, an MSP, Metro Mayor, or Company Director.
Punishment will result in automatic recall position and fine. This fine will be decided by the Electoral Commission and paid directly to local services of their Constituency.
This does not include a Minister, Party Elected position or training from previous profession. An MP has 2-months to resign from any position once elected.
