What the petition asks
Review minimum wage for 18-20 year olds.
How does government expect 18-20 year olds to survive on such a low minimum wage when things like car insurance is at its highest premium within this age bracket. Rent is so expensive. Students pay back there uni fee. General living is hard!
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
We understand you'd like to see a rise in the national minimum wage rate for workers aged 18-20, but we're not sure what you'd like the new minimum rate to be set at.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do, including the new minimum wage rate for workers aged 18-20 you'd like to see implemented.
