What the petition asks
Multi-Level Marketing companies are significantly unregulated in the UK with many people signing up under false pretences.
- Require all MLMs to release annual income disclosure statements
- Ban mandatory sign up fees
- Require all MLMs to guarantee commission-only distributors a living wage

Multi-Level Marketing companies have operated for decades with little regulation. According to the Federal Trade Commission, over 99% of distributors in MLMs lose money after expenses are included.
According to the DSA, 90% of people in direct sales in the U.K. are women. These companies can get people into huge debt, jeopardise relationships and massively impact the mental health of distributors. They need to be more regulated to protect current and potential future distributors.
