Raise driving licence expiry from 70 to 75
Closed
39 signatures
What the petition asks
At present, a driving licence expires when a motorist reaches the age of 70 and those who wish to stay on the road have to contact the DVLA.
There are more that 5 million over 70s driving on our roads in Britain, the majority are fit and healthy and should not be applying for a licence renewal until the age of 75. This is a modest increase but is in line with the increasing healthy conditions of the over 70s
