What the petition asks
We want a change to the law surrounding dog on dog attacks. We believe that there is no provision to prosecute bad owners of dogs who attack other dogs and cause serious injury or death. Too many times, dogs are injured by other dogs who are not under control by their owners
It's time to change the law to make these irresponsible owners prosecutable by law if the dog under their control attacks another dog. Therefore, we ask the government to review and change the law so that it becomes an offence for the owner of a dog that attacks another dog AND that leaving the scene of an attack without passing over ID and contact details is an offence punishable by prison.
