Make it a legal requirement for Hospital Trusts to implement HSIB recommendation
Closed
39 signatures
What the petition asks
When the HSIB (Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch) investigate maternity care, Trusts should be held accountable in fulfilling the recommendations set out by the HSIB.
It should be a legal requirement for Trusts to implement any HSIB recommendations, not down to the Trusts’ discretion. It should be mandatory to put into practice any recommendations set out by the HSIB within a certain timeframe. As the HSIB carry out independent investigations into maternity care after an event within a Hospital Trust, the Trust should not be allowed to choose whether they implement the recommendations.
