What the petition asks
Remove Pakistan from the travel 'Red List'. Recent medical evidence shows countries not on the list eg. France,Germany,India have up to 10 times more cases of Covid-19. Our formerly strong relationship is on the brink of collapse. Pakistan has a strong tourism & £2.9billion working trade with the UK
1,174,983 British citizens are directly affected. Remove Pakistan from 'red list' just like Portugal was removed on 19/3/21 following a similar petition & review. Recent data for last 7 days show France, Germany & India have substantially higher numbers of infections per 100k but are not on the list. Pakistan currently has 13 cases per 100k people, France 403,Germany 137,UK itself has 54 & India 24 per 100k. South African variant is not a concern in Pakistan, but is in France & other countries.
