Stop a Wash Plant being installed at the Quarry on the Coast Road, South Shields

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

We would like the plans to Install a Wash Plant being installed stopped at a Very historic part of our town. The Wash Plant would create a huge amount of noise and dust and also effect the wildlife and surrounding areas.
The Quarry on the Coast Road has a proposal to install a Wash Plant that would create horrendous noise and dust to a very historical part of South Shields. Opposite the said site is Souter Lighthouse and right next to it is the historical Lime Mills. It is a Green Belt area which has lots of different birds and wildlife. The Coast Road which is the direct link to the Quarry is already suffering corrosion and there is plans to move the road away from the cliffs to run along side the Lime Mills
