Record and publish numbers of people with long Covid
Closed
8,808 signatures
What the petition asks
The Government should record and publish the number of people who continue to have symptoms for more than 12 weeks, alongside other Covid-19 statistics.
This would help raise the awareness of long Covid and stop it being a hidden disease.
It is a devastating part of the pandemic that the Government and the public need to recognise, record and be aware of. Awareness could encourage people to take preventative action, and so reduce the number of people suffering.
The more coverage and recognition there is of long Covid the more likely it will be taken seriously.
Those suffering from long covid do not want to be the forgotten lost.
