Create a ramp to Sileby train station for disabled and pushchair access.

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Create a ramp to Sileby train station to make it accessible for those with limited mobility/wheel chair users and pushchair users. There is no ramp up or down which takes away the independce of those with disabilities and those who can't drive.
This would make Sileby more accessible for people and allow residents who don't drive to visit other places without having to get multiple pricey buses. I have witnessed a man get off the train at Sileby without knowing there is no ramp for him and he had to be carried down 3 flights of stairs in his wheel chair which caused him embarrassment and was degrading and not inclusive at all.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a matter for Network Rail and the company operating the station.
