Condemn the plans to ban hijab in France

Closed 100 signatures

What the petition asks

The Senate in France has voted:

—No girl under the age of 18 can wear a hijab in public.
—Mothers with hijab cannot accompany their kids on school trips.
We believe Islamophobia is deepening in France, and this plan is cruel and unfair.

Our Government should publicly condemn this.

This cruel action will mean many Muslim women in France feel unable to leave their homes. It will alienate Muslim residents in France further than they already are.

This action may mean many Muslim people leave France, if they can.

As an ally to France, our Government should let them know that this plan is unacceptable.
