Require microchip numbers in all dog sale adverts

What the petition asks

Microchipping is a legal requirement but un-chipped dogs are sold and stolen dogs are passed on through online advertising every day, a simple number in adverts could make tracing and enforcement possible.
The Australian model of making microchip details and supplier number compulsory in adverts makes an animal identifiable and sales recordable, you wouldn't buy a car without knowing the reg and history. Put a stop to illegal puppy trade and dog thefts, make all dogs sales traceable.
