Petition · past parliament

Ensure that all MPs are enacting the will of their local electorate.

What the petition asks

Too many decisions are being made by the will of parliament and not by the will of the people. Party voting does not always correspond with the will of the people. Major decision which affect us all should be ratified by the electorate whether locally or nationally.
As with Brexit, the decision was given to the people. With Covid, there are too many decisions being made without our consent. There has been a block against any naysayers to the rhetoric. We have been bombarded with a single view to an obscene degree. The economic, physical and mental disaster that this situation has caused should never have been allowed under British Law.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure whether you want referendums to be held on all decisions currently taken by MPs, or only on specific cases. Or if there's something else you want to see happen.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
