UK students and workers stranded because of Japan's border restrictions

What the petition asks
To convince the Japanese government to lift their border restrictions to allow international/UK students and workers to enter. So he/she can start their education or essential jobs.
The company in Japan has been waiting for me since last year March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic I was unable to travel. However, when Japan briefly opened their borders for foreigner workers and students, I was able to apply for a working visa. Due to the new variant Japan closed its borders and went under another State of Emergency, causing many disruptions to people like me in the UK and around the world not able to start work. We are willing to comply to quarantine procedures.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a decision for the Government of Japan.
