Ban all advertising of alcoholic drinks

What the petition asks
A complete ban on all advertising of alcoholic drinks. This includes TV, radio, internet and social media, printed publications, posters and billboards as well as any in-store advertising or promotional material.
It is well known that alcohol is damaging to human health and that consuming alcohol can lead to violence and other criminal behaviour. Research has also shown that alcohol advertising influences underage children, encouraging them to drink.
Various laws have successfully clamped down on tobacco advertising and the time to apply the same rules to alcohol are long overdue.
