ALL people importing dogs have to apply upfront for a licence to import a dog

What the petition asks
Anyone importing a dog into the UK must apply upfront for a licence before import, the application should have a photo of EACH dog to be imported and a fee paid for each animal imported with no exception.
Too many dogs are being imported into the UK by unscrupulous breeders and others. Many are not healthy especially after a long journey in often disgusting conditions. The import licence and fee should apply to one dog only and multiple dogs (litter) should all require a separate licence. Each licence should have a photo of each dog/puppy added to enable full checking to take place, all persons wishing to import a dog must apply and obtain a licence before travel has commenced.
