What the petition asks

ARG Support for Driving Instructors
WHY IS IT THAT SOME COUNCILS GIVE ADI'S THE ARG GRANT AND SOME DONT WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME BOAT. WE HAVE THE SEISS GRANT IS ONLY FOR OUR PROFITS NOT WHAT WE HAVE TO PAYOUT THIS SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO THOUGHT TOO
IE FRANCHISE TAX AND SO ON WE NEED HELP

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) provides local councils with grant funding to support businesses that are severely impacted by restrictions, and that may or may not be in the business rates system.

It is up to individual councils to determine which businesses to support and determine the amount of funding provided from the ARG scheme.

We could accept a petition calling on the Government to create a new scheme for driving instructors, if that's what you want to happen.
