What the petition asks
Urgent review into English football system to prevent profetiering with disregard to the health of the sport. Protect the level playing field to all clubs with promotion/relegation/qualificaition at all levels. Min % of profits reinvested into lower tiers. Individual, team and board member pay caps
Football has reached it's watershed moment. Clubs accross the country are facing collapse, while those at the top of the pyramid continue to look to increase profit expenensially and create a closed shop.
Sport can be profitable, but the ethos of fair play cannot be lost in the search for financial gain.
Fans must have a say in how their clubs are run. Impact on local communities and stakeholders must be considered in the running of clubs. They are not only businesses, they are our heritage.
