What the petition asks
Enact an act of Parliament enforcing FA affiliated football clubs in the UK are >51% owned by supporters trust groups. For clubs which do not currently meet this requirement enact compulsory purchase orders for a 51% stake of the club and provide financial support to supporters trusts.
The European Super League scandal has proven that billionaire owners are not the fit and proper people to be running football clubs unchecked.
As the government has stated during this scandal, football is a huge part of the fabric of many communities within out country. The custodians of these organisations are now mostly foreign based owners with no emotional or tangible connection other than their deeds of ownership.
It's beyond time that British football is returned to the British people!
