Seek VAT exemption on BFPO deliveries to the Republic of Cyprus
Closed
2,851 signatures
What the petition asks
The Government should negotiated with the Republic of Cyprus to secure VAT relief/exemption in the ROC for military personnel and their families using the BFPO service.
Pay for many does not stretch far enough for basics bought locally. These regulations have cut off access to reasonably priced basic goods and care parcels/presents sent by loved ones. The tax applied to these parcels can be overcharged and is difficult to challenge. The US military stationed in Cyprus are exempt due to their government making it so. These regulations have a significant negative impact on the BFC community.
