Increase funding for more Environmental Wardens and litter/waste initiatives
Closed

What the petition asks
Increased funding for all local councils to help tackle the growing litter tsunami hitting our public areas and roadsides. More Environmental Wardens to increase public awareness that dropping litter, failing to clean up after their dog and fly-tipping are all illegal and carry on the spot fines.
Climate Change is this week's buzz phrase. Earth Day having passed on 22.04.21 highlighted how much this Government is failing to take responsibility for the increasing waste & litter habits whilst hiding behind austerity measures.
Increased funds for Environmental Wardens & litter initiatives are required to turn around the route causes behind Climate Change. CCTV at fly-tipping hotspots & increasing public awareness of the impact waste has on their planet is crucial.
