What the petition asks
Clean water is the basis of an empowered life. We are asking the Government to publicly commit to maintaining the UK's existing spending commitments on clean water and sanitation in overseas aid budgets.
Clean water is the basis of an empowered life. It is the foundation of economic, social and physical development in every country on earth. It is also essential at both home and abroad to fighting the spread infectious diseases such as Covid-19. To propose cuts to this area of budget at a time of global pandemic condemns the world's most vulnerable people to even greater challenges, when it is our obligation to help.
