Make it law that drivers stop and report collisions with cats
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
If a motorist hits a dog it has to be reported. This doesn’t apply to cats, but they are still someone’s pet. Most are microchipped now and the reporting of cats killed after being hit by cars would at least make their owners aware. It should be an offence to simply drive on!
We call for the government to change the law.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
